HER KY-MPIRE Inside Kylie Jenner’s mᴀssive business empire featuring makeup, skincare and more as she launches fashion brand Khy

KYLIE Jenner has barely left the spotlight since first appearing on TV at the age of 10. The Kardashians star has made a fortune monetizing her fame, and doesn’t appear to be backing down from the business world.

The 26-year-old founded the makeup company Kylie Cosmetics started Kylie Baby and Kylie Skin and has many other collaborations under her belt.

In 2019, Kylie was declared the youngest self-made billionaire, unseating Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, who earned the тιтle at 23-years-old.

Kylie’s billionaire status was scrubbed a year later, when her net worth was documented to actually “only” be $900million. But it looks like Kylie is poised to recapture the crown, introducing a new clothing line named Khy to accompany her makeup collections.

And The U.S. Sun can exclusively reveal the reality star has started a new company, K Brand Inc., and filed trademarks for Khy and Khy Studios. Kylie incorporated K Brand Inc. in February 2023 and filed trademarks for Khy and Khy Studios under the company name in May 2023.

The young entrepreneur’s plans for Khy include providing goods pertaining to: “Bracelets; Earrings; Jewelry; Watches; Key chains; Necklaces; Rings; Body jewelry; Costume jewelry.”

However, Kylie won’t stop there, as the trademark outlines plans to sell bags, wallets, loungewear, clothing, lingerie, and more. It all adds up to an empire of Kylie products covering consumers.

KYLIE COSMETICS

The infamous Kylie lip kits have become renowned for selling out in a matter of SECONDS.

If this wasn’t proof enough that they’re in high demand, some of the liquid lipsticks have appeared on eBay for hundreds of pounds – and up to ten times the asking price.

Forbes stated that Kylie Cosmetics has sold more than $680million worth of makeup since its founding in February 2016.

KYLIE SKIN

In 2018, Kylie announced the release of a skincare line. The collection of skincare features all cruelty-free, vegan, gluten-free, paraben-free, sulfate-free, and dermatologist-tested products.

As of 2023, Kylie Skin has an estimated net worth of around $16.79million, according to networthspot.com. But experts predict the brand could actually be worth up to $26.86million.

KYLIE BABY

On September 28, 2021, Kylie launched a line of products designed for children known as Kylie Baby.

According to the website, Kylie Baby is designed for babies and kids up to age 10 and features products that are conscious and gentle pediatrician-tested skincare and haircare must-haves.

The Baby Full Collection Bundle was priced at $111 but reduced to $94 – the set comes with a baby towel, gentle shampoo, gentle conditioner, moisturizing lotion, and a travel case.

KYLIE SWIM

That same month, Kylie released a swimwear line.  Kylie Swim features five different styles of bathing suits, as well as a mini collection for children. The swimsuits range in price from $40-$85.

KUSTOMER KOMPLAINTS

However, not everyone is a satisfied customer. Kylie’s companies have come under fire for “cheap” products, “horrible customer service” and more.

In reviews filed with Better Business Bureau, customers have complained about the overall quality of the makeup products.

A one-star review read: “The eyeshadows are chalky and not pigmented. It seems money is spent on taking her pictures and fancy, over-the-top packaging. The lipstick didn’t even look like the picture. It’s thick and pasty.”

A second one-star review read: “Cheap, not worth the money. Comes off easy. I am stuck with this product since I can’t get my money back.”

A third dissatisfied customer wrote: “Extremely disappointed. Used the product as designed, went to lunch and when I was done. I looked like something out of a Batman movie. (Ie, the Joker). There was absolutely nothing left of what I originally looked like. It was awful.”

DOCTOR’S ORDERS

Even many professionals have bashed Kylie’s products. The model faced backlash in May 2019 when Kylie Skin released a walnut face scrub.

The product’s ad claimed it could be used daily. Kylie herself testified: “It’s gentle enough to use every day, I recommend two or three times a week. That’s how much I use it.

However, Kylie’s claims were refuted by doctors. According to a report by Insider, dermatologists said that the “fine walnut powder” found in the scrub is likely too abrasive to be used on delicate face skin.

“Physical scrubs can cause micro trauma to the skin, especially if overused,” dermatologist Kathleen Suozzi told the outlet.

NEW KY-GOLMERATES

Earlier this year, Kylie filed 30 additional trademarks under her personal name brand. The U.S. Sun reported she filed various trademarks under the names Kylie Hair, Kylie Hair by Kylie Jenner, Kylie Baby, Kylie Baby by Kylie Jenner, Kylie, and Kylie Jenner on May 15.

Back in March, The U.S. Sun reported Kylie filed a new trademark for the name of her cult-favorite lip product, Gloss Drip.

Gloss Drip is joining the beauty mogul’s seven other Kylie Cosmetics products, including Kylie Lip Kit by Kylie Jenner, Kybrow, Kyliner, Kyshadow, Kylighter, Kylash, and Glitter Eyes.

The Kardashian star tends to brand everything off of her first name, although the Glitter Eyes and now Gloss Drip products appear to be the anomaly. The Hulu star hasn’t only had her eyes set on the beauty industry: She also has plans to relaunch Kylie Swim.

Last year, The U.S. Sun reported Kylie filed five new trademarks for the brand after they were “dismissed” on July 11, 2022.
