Ice Cube: Kanye West is ‘in a good space,’ ‘learned a lot’ after antisemitic rants

Ice Cube says Kanye West is “in a good space” after having a controversial year during which he went on numerous antisemitic tirades.

“I believe he’s doing great,” the former N.W.A rapper shared on “Piers Morgan Uncensored” Monday.

Cube said the Yeezy fashion designer is still fighting for access to some of his money, but said West is “in a good space” for the most part.

“I think he’s learned a lot from this past year, and hopefully he’ll come out better on the other side,” the “Straight Outta Compton” rapper explained.

Cube, 54, said he talked to West, 46, about the tirades, in which he glorified Hitler and tweeted about going “death con 3” on Jewish people, and how he approached his feelings the wrong way.

“I felt that if he was really upset with specific people that the message he was saying would kind of hijack what he’s really upset about,” the “Friday” star said.

“That’s kind of what happened. You just can’t generalize, you have to be specific especially if you’re taking about anybody or any race.”

Cube doubled down that West should have specified exactly whom he was talking about instead of generalizing “race.”

“I didn’t put the batteries in his back. Please leave my name out of all the antisemitic talk. I’m not antisemitic and never have been.”

While appearing on the British broadcaster’s show, the “F–k tha Police” rapper said he and West remained “cool” but he took umbrage with the fact that the “All of the Lights” performer didn’t explain “what he meant.”
