Kanye West baffles Belfast principal as he wears the grammar school’s rare 2008 sports jumper while getting a pedicure

Kanye West has left a Belfast headmistress completely baffled by wearing her school’s sports jumper while getting a pedicure.

The rapper, 46, was seen having an unpleasant experience while getting a pedicure treatment in a video shared to Instagram by Ty Dolla $ign on Thursday.

But eagle-eyed fans noticed that he was wearing a number featuring the logo of St Mary’s Christian Brothers’ Grammar School in Belfast.

And the principal of the all-boys school, Siobhan Kelly, has shared her shock at seeing Kanye sporting the jumper, which she says are normally ‘prized possessions’.

She told The Times: ‘He may have been given it by someone from west Belfast or maybe he picked it up in a charity shop – we do not know.’

The principal admitted she was baffled as to how Kanye got his hands on the jumper, which was one of only 35 tops made for the school’s gaelic football team in 2008.

She told BelfastLive: ‘It is definitely one of our tops and the interesting thing is that it was designed for the MacLernon Cup final on St Patrick’s Day back in 2008.

‘As far as we can recall, there were only 35 of the tops made for the playing squad and the management so we don’t know where he got it from.

‘But you know West Belfast and people making connections with celebrities so we don’t know how he came to own it. As a school we are more than happy that he has our top.’

MailOnline has contacted Kanye’s representatives for comment.

The Instagram video saw Kanye abruptly cut his pedicure treatment short after having a rather unpleasant experience.

In the clip, Kanye could be seen sitting in a chair while getting the pedicure from a nail technician, with Ty also in the room relaxing on a coach.

Towards the beginning of the nearly one-minute clip, Kanye could be heard talking when he suddenly cried out in pain and then exclaimed, ‘Woah!’
