Kendall Jenner Finally Breaks Her Silence on the “Disrespectful” Dress She Wore to Her Friend’s Wedding

Remember the controversial dress Kendall Jenner wore to the wedding of her friend Lauren Perez’s last November? If not, here’s a refresher: The 26-year-old model attended the wedding in a jaw-dropping black dress from New York-based brand Mônot, which featured the most unique diamond-shaped cutouts spanning the length of the torso.

Alongside her fellow wedding attendees, Bella Hadid and Hailey Bieber, Kendall looked stunning for sure. However, numerous netizens slammed her dress as “cringe” and “disrespectful, accusing her of upstaging the bride.

After two months, Kendall has finally addressed the issue. In the comment section of Lauren’s New Year post on Instagram, she revealed that she in fact asked permission to wear the dress.

The exchange began when a commenter roasted Kendall, writing, “Inappropriate outfit at a wedding @kendalljenner I’m embarrᴀssed for you. #cringe.” A second commenter clapped back, saying “if the bride herself doesn’t gaf why do you care? Relax.”

Lauren expressed her support for Kendall’s outfit, saying, “tell em! SHE LOOKED STUNNING AND I LOVED IT!”
