Kim Kardashian slammed as a ‘hypocrite’ for sharing ‘infuriating’ post that fans say ‘calls out’ her entire family

KIM Kardashian has faced backlash after making a bold statement about the environment amid controversy over her lavish parties and private jet usage.

The Kardashians star is no stranger to hosting over-the-top events and using her personal plane to jet-set all over the world.

Kim, 42, has now shocked fans by sharing what they call a hypocritical message about environmental protection. The reality star took to her Instagram Story this week to post a graphic message about plastic in the ocean.

In the snap, a plastic bag could be seen floating in the water around tropical fish and a coral reef.

The text on the pH๏τo read: “Every minute, we dump over 40,000 lbs of plastic into our oceans,” including the hashtag #STOPPLASTICPOLLUTION and tagging @world_wildlife.”

FAN BACKLASH

But fans were appalled, as Kim has been accused of being one of the worst perpetrators of environmental damage of all time.

One follower screensH๏τted the post and re-shared it on Reddit where they opened up a discussion captioned: “By WE, she means HER and HER FAMILY.”

Others flooded the comments with their own opinions on the matter, one writing: “They’ve seen their Balloon arches right? I think most are pretty, but unnecessary.”

“Seriously! This family is hideously wasteful. The irony of her posting this when Kimothy and co are literally walking pieces of plastic does not escape me,” a second agreed.

“I’d also like to point out the one time use custom bounce houses and slide for stormi world also all the single use items they buy in bulk for holidays,” a third noted.

A fourth complained: “Not Miss Private Jet posting this,” with a skull emoji while a fifth admitted: “This is so infuriating LOL.” “These women are living plastic pollution,” a final remarked.

BIRTHDAY BUST?

Last month, Kim was ripped for hosting a lavish birthday party for her son Psalm which included giant helium balloons for decoration.

The gas, which is vital for the operation of certain medical equipment, is in short supply nationwide. Among the many extravagances at Psalm’s fourth birthday party were dozens of decorative balloons.

The theme of the party was firefighters, which was highlighted right as guests walked past a life-size balloon fireman battling a raging balloon fire.

More balloons were attached to bounce houses and scattered across the party zone. There was even a bounce house that looked like a snow globe filled with dozens of balloon snowflakes.

But besides filling up balloons, liquid helium is a key necessity for the operation of medical MRI machines.

FAN CONTROVERSY

In a Reddit chat room, fans were deflated to see Kim’s helium use. “There’s a freaking global helium shortage,” one person exclaimed. “The amount of balloons these women use disgust me. Completely tone deaf.”

Another slammed: “They are a disgustingly wasteful and destructive (group) of fiends and grifters.” While a third pointed out: “Balloons are terribly wasteful aside from the helium too. Literal plastic trash from start to finish.”

WASTEFUL SISTERS

Kim isn’t the first Kardashians star to feel the helium heat.

Kim’s younger sister, Khloe Kardashian, was criticized just a month earlier for using hundreds of balloons to decorate her daughter True’s fifth birthday party.

The reality star, 38, was branded obnoxious and wasteful for adorning every inch of her $17million mansion with plastic balloons.

Kim has also been the center of controversy for taking regular trips in her private jet, which has been slammed as one of the most damaging methods of pollution.
