Kim Kardashian snubbing Donald Trump after working together on prison reform upset him, says author
Kim Kardashian may have received an invitation to the White House by Donald Trump, but that didn’t stop her from supporting president Joe Biden, and Trump was left “disappointed” by Kim’s actions.
Seeing Kim Kardashian and Donald Trump in the same room seems unlikely, but once that was the case. The former US president invited the reality star over, but later felt “wounded” by her snubbing him.
Kim Kardashian ‘disappointed’ Trump with rejection
Kim Kardashian was invited to the White House by Donald Trump in 2019. He even let people out of jail he felt were “deserving to be let out” after their conversation about prison reform.
Ramin Setoodeh, the author of “Apprentice in Wonderland,” a book focused on Trump’s time as a reality TV star, said the former president “absolutely” felt betrayed by The Kardashians star in a CNN interview.
Kim, who is studying law, had worked with him on pᴀssing the First Step Act, a law aimed at reforming the federal prison system and sentencing law.
CNN played a recording from one of the several interviews the author conducted with Trump for the book. He is heard saying, “I was disappointed in Kim. With Kim, I did a lot of prison reform that she couldn’t get done with anybody else.”
“I let people out of prison that I thought were deserving to be let out,” he added. “And then after it was all over, she announced that she’s not supporting me. And she only did that to be cool in Hollywood.”
Trump ‘fixated’ on Kim’s snub
Trump was “fixated” on Kim’s snub after she supported his opposition. Setoodeh told CNN that Trump “feels wounded” that he invited Kim Kardashian to the White House before she supported Joe Biden.
He said, “Then she went on social media after Joe Biden was declared the winner in 2020 and posted three heart emojis on her social media to support the Biden-Harris administration.”
“He was fixated on that in the early days after he left the White House,” he added. But Trump’s communications rep told The Hill the writer “has now chosen to allow Trump Derangement Syndrome to rot his brain like so many other losers whose entire existence revolves around President Trump.”
