Kim Kardashian will attend Met Gala 2023, despite initial invite questions

She’s still in fashion.

A source tells us that Kim Kardashian will be attending the 2023 Met Gala, despite initial thoughts that she may not be invited.

In March, Page Six heard that May’s event — known as the Super Bowl of fashion —  was set to be Kardashian-free after the whole family of reality stars attended en mᴀsse for the first time in 2022.

Sources previously said Vogue boss Anna Wintour was cracking down on the guest list at the annual fashion fete — and that no Kardashians made the cut.

However, we’re now told that Kim — the most famous of the clan — will attend.

We also hear that the reality star won’t be the only one in her famous family to walk the steps of the Met Museum during fashion’s biggest party night — though there’s no word on which other sibling has gotten a gilded invite. (Best guess: Kendall!)

Last year, Kourtney and Khloé Kardashian attended the bash for the first time. Kris, Kendall and Kylie Jenner have all previously walked the carpet, though none as regularly as Kim.

She has since been a fixture at the event, drawing attention for her outfits like 2019’s “wet” look by Thierry Mugler. She even worked with famed corsetier Mr. Pearl — who taught her special breathing techniques — to fit into the outfit.

She went viral in 2021 in a polarizing full, black, face-covering bodysuit by Balenciaga that was turned into a number of hilarious memes.

Last year, she faced backlash for donning a Jean Louis gown that Marilyn Monroe famously wore in 1962 to sing “Happy Birthday, Mr. President” to John F. Kennedy.

Many — including fashion designer Bob Mackie, who worked for Louis and sketched the gown — felt Kim should not have been allowed to wear the historic garment in order to keep it preserved.

Kim became the center of outrage when she was accused of allegedly damaging the seams of the iconic dress.

A rep for Ripley’s Believe It or Not, which loaned her the dress, released a statement ᴀssuring the public, “Any time we felt that the dress was in danger of ripping or we felt uncomfortable about anything, we always had the ability to be able to say we not were going to continue with this.”

Kim, who famously said she lost 16 pounds in three weeks to fit into the dress, only wore the look for the carpet then changed into a replica.

No word on which designer Kim will be attending with this year.

The event, thrown by Wintour and Vogue along with the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Insтιтute, takes place on May 1 with the theme “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty.”

Some applauded the idea that the Kardashians wouldn’t make the gala. Bethenny Frankel posted a clip theorizing that, “Maybe [Anna] got all the juice out of that lemon, and now she wants to class it up.”
