DUBAI: For emerging fashion labels, celebrity endorsements are a big deal. Especially when said celebrity is beauty mogul and reality star Kylie Jenner. Just ask up-and-coming Egyptian accessories label Aliel, whose design was spotted on the world’s youngest female billionaire on Tuesday.

Jenner posted a video of herself on her Instagram Stories headed to singer Justine Skye’s 25th birthday bash at Justin and Hailey Bieber’s Beverly Hills home with her sister Kendall.

For the occasion, the CEO of Kylie Cosmetics wore a salmon-colored number from the brand’s most recent Ghalia collection. The geometric, rectangular bag features two chains– one made of unique agate stones, and the other, a dainty gold chain.

She paired the shoulder bag with a fuschia top and jeans. The look was styled by Jenner’s longtime stylist Jill Jacobs. Those who wish to take a style cue from Jenner can purchase Aliel online at eastwaveconcept.com, a virtual pop-up supporting 16 established and emerging designers from the Middle East and North African regions.

Aliel was founded by Cair0-based designer Leila Abo Tira in 2017.

The 29-year-old marketing graduate, who hails from a family who have been in the leather-manufacturing business for decades,  has released five handcrafted collections to date – Ghalia is the fifth – and is preparing to launch her first footwear collection soon.

The label’s luxurious designs have also been sported by American actress Joey King and Egyptian model and actress Salma Abu Deif.

It’s not the first time that Jenner supports Egyptian talent in the last couple of months. In March, the mother of Stormi uploaded several pictures of herself dripping in part-Egyptian jeweler Jacquie Aiche’s handmade adornments, including the brand’s oval mother of pearl ring and a Jacquie Aiche body chain that is worth a staggering $17,500.

It also seems that Jenner’s oldest sister, Kourtney Kardashian is also a fan of Egyptian brands. Last Halloween, the mother-of-four championed homegrown accessories label Okhtein, opting to elevate her space cowboy costume with the brand’s Palmette Minaudiere.

Their mother, Kris Jenner, was also pictured carrying Okhtein’s micro bag.
