Lewis Hamilton enjoys break from F1 with tennis ace and makes Shakira stance clear

Lewis Hamilton has been seen letting his hair down during Formula 1 ‘s summer break, and was joined on holiday by fellow sports star Jenny Stray Spetalen.

Hamilton put in one of his finer performances this season on home soil last week, after securing a third-place finish at the British Grand Prix behind fellow countryman Lando Norris and world champion Max Verstappen. The seven-time world champion finds himself fourth in the driver standings having secured his fourth podium of the season at Silverstone.

Now Hamilton has some time away from being sat behind the wheel, with the Englishman and fellow drivers taking a two-week break before they gear up for the upcoming Hungarian Grand Prix.

Taking advantage of his time off, the Mercedes man has jetted out to Ibiza where he was seen relaxing on a yacht. Hamilton was of course not alone, having been joined by 20-year-old tennis ace Jenny Stray Spetalen.

Spetalen is best known for her attributes on the tennis court, as well as being the daughter of Norwegian tycoon Øystein Stray Spetalen. Alongside the 20-year-old tennis star, the seven-time world champion was joined by Mexican actress Eiza Gonzalez, as well as film director Baz Luhrmann and his wife Catherine Martin.

The Mercedes driver’s appearance alongside Spetalen comes just days after Hamilton was pictured partying with pop star Shakira. Rumours had circulated that Hamilton and the pop sensation were dating, and their appearance following last week’s British Grand Prix fuelled this further.

Shakira left the club at around 3:30am, whilst Hamilton stayed out later before returning to his H๏τel at 6am. This is not the first time the mega-star couple had been spotted alongside each other, after originally meeting up at both the Spanish and Miami Grand Prix.

Last weekend’s party date only strengthened their relationship rumours, this appears to have been cooled slightly by Hamilton following his Ibiza appearance this week. Shakira recently broke off her relationship with Barcelona and Spain defender Gerard Pique after spending 11 years together.
