Madonna, 65, says she’s currently unwell again just SEVEN days into her 78-date world tour – as she gets emotional on stage and says it’s a ‘miracle’ she survived her bacterial infection

Madonna has revealed she is currently feeling unwell again just seven days into her 78-date world tour after a bacterial infection forced her to reschedule her concert series.

During her concert on Saturday at Antwerp, Belgium, the Queen of Pop, 65, became emotional as she recounted the health ordeal that landed her in the hospital and left her unconscious.

The health emergency prompted her to reflect on her mother, Madonna Louise Ciccone, who pᴀssed from breast cancer at age 33.

‘I had this strange thought,’ she said in a clip tweeted by a fan who attended her Celebration Tour on Saturday. ‘I suddenly had sympathy and empathy for my mother,’ she said, placing her hand on her chest and exhaling deeply.

‘About how lonely she must have felt in the hospital, knowing that she wasn’t going to live. And I was given another chance.’

‘About how lonely she must have felt in the hospital, knowing that she wasn’t going to live. And I was given another chance.’ Her family, who rushed to her bedside, were said to have been ‘preparing for the worst’ and ‘feared we may lose her’.

She kicked off her Celebration tour earlier this month at the O2 Arena in London.

She broke her silence on the life-threatening health ordeal at her opening show, shocking her fans as she admitted she ‘forgot five days’ of her life.

Standing on stage alone while holding her guitar, she said: ‘I didn’t think I would make it, and neither did my doctors. ‘That’s why I woke up with all of my children sitting around me.’

She continued her emotional confession: ‘I forgot five days of my life, or my death, I don’t really know where I was. But the angels were protecting me. And my children were there. And my children always save me, every time.

‘If you want to know how I pulled through and how I survived, I thought, I have got to be there for my children. I have to survive for them.’ Madonna’s long-awaited tour is set to continue in the coming months and into 2024.

She will continue to travel throughout the UK and Europe until December, with several dates already sold-out.

The North American leg of her tour will begin in December, kicking off in Brooklyn. Her April 2024 shows in Mexico City have already sold-out.
