Miley Cyrus Is Convincing Us to Only Use the Top Button of Our Shirts

A different way to flash your midriff.
Miley Cyrus says ʙuттoning up your shirt is so last year. In some new promo sH๏τs for her forthcoming single, “Used to Be Young,” she put a Cyrus twist on the classic white oxford shirt by skipping the ʙuттons almost entirely.

Sultry snaps: Miley Cyrus posted a series of stunning black-and-white snaps of herself on Sunday. To promote her upcoming music drop, the songstress, 30, took to Instagram to share pictures of herself posing topless underneath an oversized, white ʙuттon-down and wide-leg jeans

Miley Cyrus shared a few new black and white pics to promote the song, posing on a chair in loose-fitting denim and a white ʙuттon-down shirt. Instead of fully ʙuттoning the shirt or only the bottom ʙuттons for a peekaboo effect, Cyrus flipped the script and ʙuттoned just the collar, leaving the rest undone and worn open on either side of her hips with her belly ʙuттon piercing in full display.

The musician paired her shirt with black sunglᴀsses, a belt, and black boots and wore her hair in loose, tousled waves, opting for minimal makeup and a short white manicure.

We needed a new way to wear ʙuттon-down shirts going into the fall, and Cyrus was ready to deliver the perfect solution to our quandary.

It’s a little daring, given the whole one-ʙuттon thing, but the oversized fit and excess fabric help reduce the risk of flashing everyone in your path. It looks chic with Cyrus’s baggy jeans but would also work well with a slim-fitting skirt or layered over a tube dress. The styling possibilities are endless with this versatile piece, so it may be time to hit up the thrift store or swipe a ʙuттon down from your dad.
