Kim Kardashian apparently was not all too happy with Miley Cyrus at one point.

A fan of the Flowers singer posted on X, formerly Twitter, posted a clip of Miley singing a cover of Yvonne Fair’s hit song It Should Have Been Me that she dedicated to Pete Davidson on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in December 2021.

Miley had a bit of fun with the song that is about a woman watching a man she loves marry someone else. She changed a few lyrics to playfully refer to Pete’s relationship with the reality TV star at the time. At one point, she kick her leg up placed it near his lap and also took his hat and put it on her head.

“It should have been me in that Lamborghini leaving that nice-a– restaurant,” she crooned at Pete, making a nod to paparazzi pH๏τos of the former SNL star in the car with Kim after they left high-end Giorgi Baldi restaurant in Los Angeles in November 2021.

She added: “I’m going to watch a movie in freakin’ Staten Island.” While Miley sang the song to him making numerous references to him and his then-relationship, Pete was tickled as he laughed as well as clapped along. The two were both guests on the late-night talk show as they were promoting their NBC New Year’s Eve special they were co-hosting together.

The fan had made note in their caption in the resurfaced video that Kim unfollowed Miley on Instagram that same night. The Independent, reported that same discovery on January 5, 2022. They noted that Miley fans, specifically a Miley fanpage, noticed that the SKIMS Founder unfollowed Miley following the appearance on December 10.

Kim and Pete first sparked dating rumors in October 2021 after they were spotted together at Knotts Scary Farm at the start of Halloween weekend. The two had met previously before when she was with then-husband Kanye in 2019 and then when they kissed during an Aladdin skit during Kim’s SNL debut as host in October 2021. The couple was pH๏τographed going on various romantic outings since when they first sparked rumors and made it Instagram official on March 11, 2022.

The two broke up in August 2022 after dating for nine months. Kim shared in an episode of the The Kardashians how she should have taken time to “heal” from her relationship with Kanye before getting with Pete. She filed for divorce from the rapper in February 2021 and their divorced finalized in 2022.

“I jumped into another relationship so fast. It got my mind away from stuff and that’s not a way to run from things,” Kim said.
