Old Miley Cyrus interview draws sister Noah’s ire: The disrespect
It seems there is some bad blood between the two
Noah Cyrus isn’t pleased with some of the comments sister Miley made in an interview.
A podcast interview of Miley speaking with Joe Rogan on “The Joe Rogan Experience” in September 2020 has resurfaced. In it, Miley talks about her siblings.
Rogan asked the singer whether Noah’s experience growing up in her shadow had in any way affected her decision to chase a career in Hollywood.
“You either go one way or the other,” Miley replied while noting that her younger sibling “wants” a life in the spotlight.
“She’s got a record out that I love called ‘The End of Everything’ … and it’s the most depressing EP you’ll ever listen to. “She’s 20 years old. She’s emo. She’s, like, an emo kid.”
Rogan then asked if Noah was “emo” because she grew up on the road with Miley.
“That’s what it is,” Miley responded.
“She has a song where she says, ‘My sister’s like sunshine / It’ll follow her wherever she goes / But I’m more like a rain cloud.’ You know, it’s like, she’s really got this idea of me.”
When Rogan suggested that Noah go to the doctor, Miley said: “She is. We’re all at the doctor a lot.
“She’s dealing with it. But she’s only 20, so I worry about her.”
Noah’s response attracts interest from fans
“The disrespect in this video…” Noah wrote in screensH๏τs that are making their way around social media.
The response got fans talking, with many wondering if it is related to the reported family feud going on following the divorce of parents Billy Ray Cyrus and Tish Cyrus.
“I’m confused… does she mean Joe was disrespectful or Miley or both? I feel like Miley was just being light/funny but also defending her like what,” wrote one fan.
Another wrote: “She had three years to say something. She’s only saying this ’cause the family is divided between her mom and her dad.”
Nevertheless, the comments come two months after Miley joined her half-siblings Brandi Cyrus and Trace Cyrus at Tish’s wedding to Dominic Purcell.
Noah and brother Braison Cyrus were not at the event. In fact, Noah shared Instagram pH๏τos of herself and Braison at Walmart during the wedding, with many speculating not all is well in the Cyrus household.
Tish and Billy Ray filed for divorce in April 2022. Billy Ray has since moved on and married Firerose earlier this week.
