OUT OF TOUCH Kim Kardashian slammed after she promotes $2.5K body scan as fans remind star ‘regular people can’t afford’ it
KIM Kardashian has encouraged her followers to get an expensive body scan that many of them cannot afford.
Kim, 42, shared a post about Prenuvo on her Instagram after she got one of their body scans. In her caption, she wrote: “I recently did this @prenuvo scan and had to tell you all about this life-saving machine.”
She goes on to say that the full-body scan can detect cancer and other diseases before patients notice any symptoms.
The Kardashian concluded: “It was like getting an MRI for an hour with no radiation. It has really saved some of my friends’ lives and I just wanted to share. #NotAnAd”
The Skims founder was pictured standing in front of a large white circular machine that looks similar to an MRI or CT scan machine.
It had a hole in the center where the patient would be scanned and a long white bed where they would lie during the procedure.
The Hulu personality was wearing a pair of charcoal gray scrubs, and of course, she couldn’t resist taking a bathroom selfie. What Kim failed to mention was that the full-body scan is a whopping $2,499 according to the Prenuvo website.
PEOPLE ARE DYING, KIM
The Kardashians star’s followers on Instagram and Reddit slammed her for promoting this body scan when a lot of people in the world are struggling financially.
One said: “Kim, this is for wealthy people. People can’t afford food right now.”
Another said: “This is SO tone deaf. the majority of people in America could not afford to use this machine. The fact that she’s promoting medical devices that cost thousands is so ridiculous.”
A third said: “I’m a fan of the Kardashians but Kim shut the f**k up. Most people can’t afford to go to urgent care. This is so f**king tone-deaf.”
Someone else said: “Bragging about the ability to have good healthcare is wild.” A fifth said: “Didn’t Kris also shill this scan? Maybe they have money in it.”
Many fans also pointed out that MRI machines don’t use radiation.
MAJOR ISSUE
Kim revealed a secret injury that has kept her down and out of the gym for weeks in a shocking new video. She was forced to take a hiatus from her routine after a new injury left her unable to work out.
The reality television star took to her Instagram Stories on Monday afternoon to film a video of her meeting with a trainer at her own personal home gym.
In the clip, she walked to her outdoor courts to find fitness coach Melissa Alcantara waiting for her arrival. Kim filmed her trainer friend and she could be heard in the background of the video saying: “Who’s this girl? Who’s this girl in my gym?”
She continued: “Okay guys well something you don’t know about me, I broke my shoulder and I tore the tendons, and so Melissa had the same thing happen to her.”
Kim then zoomed in on the trainer’s shoulder to show the fitness instructor’s own similar injury.
“Nothing is going to keep me down,” the mother of four claimed. She captioned her post: “I broke my shoulder and tore the tendon so I’ve been out of the gym a few weeks but I’m back!”
