SAFETY FIRST Lana Del Rey’s surprise Boston concert cut short after severe warning forcing fans to evacuate

LANA Del Rey fans were forced to evacuate her show on Thursday night due to extreme weather conditions.

The Summertime Sadness hitmaker performed her first-ever stadium concert at Boston’s Fenway Park, which was shorter than anticipated. Due to severe thunderstorms, the singer was forced to postpone her show by two hours, giving it a new start time of 10:30 pm.

Fans were forced to evacuate the venue until it stopped raining and were given a “no entry” warning. “Due to pending weather conditions, there will be a delay in tonight’s performance,” the stadium screens read.

“All fans must leave the field seating and open air seating sections and seek shelter inside the stadium concourse immediately. Please take time to ᴀssemble all members of your party and calmly proceed inside the stadium concourse.”

FANS FIRST!

Lana, 39, checked in with concertgoers on her Instagram, asking them if they’d rather have a shorter show or a rescheduled performance. “Do you want a one hour show tonight if it’s possible and the lightning stops? As opposed to a two hour show on Saturday,” she wrote in a post.

She also shared a selfie video to her Instagram Stories and went more in-depth on what was happening. “Hi guys, so I’m down here at the bottom of Fenway. I have everyone here, they just cleared the stage,” she informed fans.

“So, every time the lightning strikes, we have to wait 20 minutes, and it just keeps striking. “So what we were hoping for was to fill the room back up by 10 o’clock and at least do an hour-long show. “That’s what we’re hoping for bare minimum. Worst case scenario, we reschedule for Saturday.

“I don’t know, I’m crossing my fingers and I’m down here with all the girls just hoping,” she noted. After fans voted for the later slot, they were let back in and Lana was able to safely perform 15 songs. The June 20 show was a one-night-only performance, which sold out immediately after general tickets went on sale May 10.

Many fans raged on social media after seeing outlandish resale ticket prices starting upwards of $300. Special guests Quavo, Stephen Sanchez, and Mason Ramsey also joined the Grammy-nominated singer during her show. One of the guests, however, has sparked romance rumors with Lana over the past month.

LOVERS IN BOSTON?

Lana, who recently headlined this year’s Coachella, now has fans talking about her potential new relationship. Last month, Lana appeared in an Instagram video next to Quavo, which was posted by a mutual friend of theirs.

The two were seen walking next to each other through Central Park, New York, as their friend filming told the camera, “We’re outside.” Quavo, one-third of the now-separated Migos, wore a white ʙuттoned shirt with chains around his neck, while Lana opted for a blue summer dress.

The singer smiled wide as the camera panned to her, prompting fans to note her appearance in the clip. One person wrote, “Take care of Lana,” while another added, “Lanaa,” with a few heart emojis.

Another fan said that Lana and the rapper would “make a great couple.”
