Shakira accused of plagiarism for her latest song: I have to be given compensation

Shakira has returned to the media spotlight for her new song that is set to be a worldwide hit, like her latest singles. The most recent is ‘El jefe’ and it has not escaped the controversy as was the case of the session she did with Bizarrap or the collaboration she did with Karol G.

The phrase that has attracted the most attention, for being a reference to Gerard Pique’s father: “They say there is no evil that lasts more than a hundred years, but there is still my ex-father-in-law who does not step on the grave,” sings the Colombian.

In addition to being called out for that phrase, now another controversy has arisen with the video clip of the song. In this case the lyrics are not a problem, it would be the dance that Shakira does in the video. There has been a person who considers that it is plagiarism.

Miriam Saavedra, the former winner of ‘Gran Hermano VIP 6’, told Telecinco program Fiesta that the singer has copied her ‘worm dance’ that she made famous in the reality show. “I’m a little upset because she has copied my steps, she has to give me compensation,” Saavedra ᴀssured.

The format’s collaborators thought she said it as a joke, but the Peruvian has said it seriously. In addition, the former winner of ‘GH VIP 6’, has commented that Gerard Pique had been interested in her three years ago.
