The new Hard Rock ad may well be the 2024’s H๏τtest campaign. It includes Shakira, Messi, John Legend, and Noah Kahan. The spot advertises the Unity rewards program of the famous brand and it does that in style.
Hard Rock ad hits all the right notes
Clᴀssy, slick, and entertaining. That’s how the ads should be, isn’t it? Well, the Hard Rock brand doesn’t disappoint. It gathers a superstar team and goes harder than it should. The presence of Messi alone justifies the message. But no, the chain of restaurants, H๏τels, and casinos switches to the beast mode. Shakira is there strolling with brilliance. Uber-stylish John Legend is there too.
The brand doesn’t forget to include the H๏τ young talent. American singer-songwriter Noah Kahan is featured in the ad. Also, he produces the soundtrack, a suave folk-pop take on the “Come Together” classic by The Beatles. This Hard Rock ad is everything we ask from a well-made advertising in 2024. It simply delivers.
Messi gets to show off his ball skills with a mini-ball, Shakira gets to shine bright in a killer dress, and John Legend gets a drink. While Noah Kahan has a perfect time on a sandy beach. We love it. The Hard Rock ad is easily among the commercials with the most celebrities this year. This is quite a distinction too considering that the Super Bowl advertising craze is behind us.
Ideal promotion for the Unity rewards program
“Hard Rock is one of the world’s most iconic brands, with nearly universal awareness. But people are not aware of everything they offer. To solve that and drive Unity sign-ups, we set out to create an entertaining campaign featuring a re-imagined version of one the most iconic songs in history along with icons of today – with near universal awareness,” said Winston Binch, chief brand and experience officer at GALE which oversaw the production.
By the way, it’s not the first time Messi appears in a Hard Rock ad. The brand has an ongoing partnership with the football superstar. The previous commercial featured a “Messi Chicken Sandwich” where we could see the Argentinian turning into a chef:
