Shakira storms off stage after a man tries to film under her dress during performance, netizens react: ‘Gross’

Singer-songwriter Shakira stormed off the stage abruptly while dancing to her new song Soltera at the nightclub LIV Miami in Florida. Reason: She caught a man trying to record underneath her dress while she was on the stage. The video of the incident has now triggered outrage on social media.

The viral video shows the Colombian singer donning a sequin dress and performing her new song Soltera. She notices an unidentified man filming under her dress, warns him with a gesture, and swiftly pulls her dress down. She continues to dance and storms off the stage. Sharing the video, an X handle @FeimM_ wrote, “Shakira leaves the stage after people were filming under her dress whilst she was dancing to her new single. People are GROSS.”

The video ignited outrage on social media as several users condemned the act. A user wrote, “Whoever was filming should be arrested for Sєxual ᴀssault.” Another user commented, “I hate how anyone thinks this is appropriate!!”

“That’s just beyond gross. Shakira had every right to walk off, no one should have to deal with that kind of disrespect, especially when she’s just out there performing her music. People need to learn how to act with basic decency!” a third user reacted.

Earlier this year, Shakira released her 12th Studio album, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran (Women Don’t Cary Anymore). In 2022, the Colombian singer also hogged headlines after she announced her separation from Spanish footballer Gerard Pique. The couple was together for 11 years.
