Shakira’s “Acrostic” became a trend on TikTok with “perrhijos” as protagonists

Last week, Shakira presented her song “Acrostico”, a ballad featuring her children Milan and Saya. In the clip for the song, the Colombian artist shows herself as a mother playing the piano with her little ones.

After a handful of songs with references to their separation and the empowerment of women, the music star decided to highlight her most fragile and human side. “This year Milan has written songs that brought tears of emotion to my eyes and Sasha has spent hours at the piano, discovering her voice. Both have shared by my side in the studio and upon hearing this song dedicated to them they have asked me to take part, “he wrote on his Instagram account.

“They have felt and interpreted it by themselves and for themselves, with the pᴀssion and feeling of those who carry music inside. Milan and Sasha, it’s so nice to see how they spread their wings to start realizing their dreams”, he added.

The arrival of “Acrostic” to TikTok with pets as protagonists
The song – the clip achieved more than 38 million views in just 3 three days – became a huge success and this caused a furor on social networks. “Acrostic” moved many mothers, but it was also dedicated to “perrhijos” (a word that unites the concept of dog and son and that marks a new trend).

In the last few hours, several TikTok users dedicated the melancholic lyrics to their pets. In this way, the dogs had their share of prominence with their videos.

Something similar happened in January when Shakira released her famous collaboration with Bizarrap, “Music Sessions #53”. A theme that flooded the networks with several parodies and even different versions.

User Santiago Arango Zabala was a trend on TikTok, who, using autotune, made a perfect version to create images with videos of dogs singing Shakira’s hit with the Argentine producer. “This is for you to mortify yourself, chew, swallow, swallow, chew…a wolf like youuuuuu”, accompanies the pets. Within hours, the video had millions of views.
