Shakira’s dangerous accident while filming the Copa Vacia video

After the success achieved in 2023 with “Music Sessions 53” with Bizarrap, “TQG” with Karol G and “Acrostico”, on 29 June Shakira released the official video for the song “Copa Vacia” with her compatriot Manuel Turizo.

But it wasn’t all plain sailing for the Colombian singer with this song, as she suffered a dangerous accident during the filming, which fortunately didn’t happen.

In an interview with Primer Impacto, the Barranquilla native described the bad moment she suffered several weeks ago.

“It was a very long shoot, the fish tank broke, the set started to flood and they had to get me out of there. I couldn’t get out because I had a mermaid tail and I couldn’t climb out. They had to take me out with a crane, a la “every man for himself”. Fortunately it was just an anecdote and I’m here to tell the story,” she said.

She also said that Turizo warned her of the dangers of being in that fish tank.

“Manuel had warned me that the tank was going to break. I told him that it was impossible, that we had bulletproof security standards, and it turns out that he was right. What he predicted came true,” she added.

On the other hand, the singer revealed the reasons for choosing her countryman for this musical collaboration.
