Taylor Swift makes unprecedented history

Billboard has confirmed that singer Taylor Swift is the female artist with the most number-one albums in release history.

Taylor Swift’s latest album, Speak Now (Taylor’s Version), is currently at No. 1 of Billboard. This album was at number 1 in terms of both online and LP releases for the year.

This is the pop queen’s 12th album to top the Billboard charts. Taylor Swift (33 years old) has surpᴀssed Barbra Streisand (who used to be at number one 11 times) to take the position of the female artist with the most number of top 1 albums, as noted by Billboard.

With male artists, Jay-Z and The Beatles both have more than a dozen albums at the top of the Billboard. Swift is also the first living artist in nearly 60 years to have four albums hit the Billboard top 10 at the same time.
