Right Said Fred will be raking it in from the royalties of Taylor Swift‘s new track which samples notes from their hit “I’m Too Sexy.”

The cheesy pop band have been given a second stab at fame thanks to the popstar’s comeback tune “Look What You Made Me Do,” released this week.

The long-awaited track, rumored to be about her high profile spat with Kanye West, has divided fans but brothers Richard and Fred Fairbrᴀss as well as Rob Manzoli are now firm followers.

After Taylor sampled the upbeat chorus notes on their 1991 debut smash, and they were listed in the writing credits, they are set to reap huge rewards.

Richard, 63, told The Mirror: “It was a surprise, mainly because Taylor is a millennial – she would have been gestating when we wrote it, so it’s bizarre.

“People are talking about a tour together, but I’m not going to until the money’s in the bank.”

He added: “Cynicism is such a common currency in this business, it’s nice to bump into someone who isn’t cynical.

“She’s so well-grounded. If I’d been that successful when we broke, I’d have gone completely тιтs up. I’d be ᴅᴇᴀᴅ or in rehab, so I have great admiration for Taylor for hanging on to her senses. It’s a great gift.”

The track is the group’s second hit across the Pond.

And the collaboration ended on a sweet note when Tay sent them a bunch of flowers and a thank you card, complete with the words: “Look what you made us do.

“We love you and can’t wait to celebrate with you.”

Shortly after it rocketed to the top of the charts, Right Said Fred were quick to show their mutual appreciation.

Alongside an emoji love heart they wrote:“Thank you Taylor Swift, what a marvellous reinvention!”

Taylor will follow the track’s release with new album Reputation.
