Teen Mom’s Dakota Meyer bashed for condemning J. Lo and Shakira’s ‘Sєxy’ Super Bowl show

TEEN Mom’s Dakota Meyer has come under fire by fans after he condemned Jennifer Lopez and Shakira’s ‘Sєxy’ Super Bowl halftime show.

The 31-year-old army veteran took to Instagram last night to repost MMA fighter Tim Kennedy’s searing post in which he question J. Lo’s use of a stripper pole in her performance.

Sharing a trio of pH๏τos from the 14 minute stage show, the sports star wrote: “As a father of 3 daughters yesterday’s halftime Super Bowl performance scratched a nerve.

“The nerve of hypocrisy. I don’t want my daughters to be objectified but I also want them to feel free to be able to do whatever they want, to include being Sєxy.”

Adding: “In an era of the #metoo movement how can we stand by and not take pause at a stripper pole being in the living room of nearly every American household and not consider the consequence.

“I’m not saying Shakira and Jennifer Lopez did not look beautiful, they did. I’m not saying they don’t have the right to dress any way they want, they do (and I’ll fight that they will always have that right).

“I’m not saying that they were not great entertainers, which they are,” he continued.

“I’m just questioning the impact this has on the young women and men in our country and yet again the shifting of our morals.

“Behavior and actions is what demands respect. If you want to be respected behave in a way that deserves it, otherwise don’t try to demand it.”

Reposting Kennedy’s words on his own feed, Meyers wrote: “As a father of 2 girls. I 100% agree with @timkennedymma on this.”

However, MTV star Dakota, who last appeared on Teen Mom OG two seasons ago opposite ex Bristol Palin, was quickly condemned by many of his 315,000 followers, who defended the superstars high-octane show.

“They are entertainers!” one shared. “They are doing a Job! They are hard working women and mothers.

“Its our job as parents to set an example to our kids at home that’s not an artist job.”

A second wrote: “Change the channel. I’m responsible for raising my daughter. Not the TV. Works well for me.”

“My five year old nephew was with me watching it and all he saw were two amazingly talented and gorgeous Latina women showing the world how to be proud and loud and Sєxy and graceful and just pure goodness.”

His criticism comes after Jennifer and Shakira became the first two Latinas to perform at the Super Bowl’s Halftime show.

The pair were praised for their high-octane performances filled with their big hits.

Meyers now co-parents daughters Sailor, four, and Atlee, two, with ex wife Bristol Palin, who is also mother to Tripp, 11, with ex-fiance Levi Johnston.

The former couple got engaged in mid-2015 and welcomed their first child together a few months after they split.

But the couple got back together, and married in 2016. Bristol then delivered their second daughter, Atlee, the following year.

However it wasn’t meant to be for the pair, who after just two years of marriage split in 2018.
