Watch out Kim! Kanye West hires Melinda Gates’ lawyer (who helped finalize multi-billion dollar divorce with Bill) in ongoing battle with ex Kardashian as they iron out custody and property details

Kanye West has reportedly hired the same lawyer who represented Melinda Gates in her $130 billion divorce from ex-husband Bill Gates in his own on-going legal battle with ex Kim Kardashian.

Robert Stephan Cohen, who has also previously represented Rupert Murdoch and Chris Rock, has become Kanye’s sixth divorce attorney, according to TMZ.

As Cohen is in New York and Kanye’s legal separation being waged in Los Angeles, the rapper has also retained Beverly Hills based attorney Nicholas A Salick of Salick Family Law Group, APLC as counsel in California, reports the site.

Cohen marks the sixth attorney Kanye has hired in his divorce from Kim. Kanye is still working on settling custody and property issues with his ex-wife.

Last month, Kanye’s fifth divorce lawyer, Samantha Spector, withdrew from the case due to an irreconcilable breakdown with the rapper.

Prior to Spector, West relieved attorney Chris Melcher of his duties in the case, TMZ reported in March.

Kardashian filed to divorce West in February of 2021 after more than six years of marriage and four children together.

She began dating comic Pete Davidson last fall, but they split up after nine months together in August.

Kim has had a contentious co-parenting relationship with Kanye since their split.
