Zac Efron rushed to the hospital after swimming pool incident in Ibiza

Zac Efron was taken to the hospital Friday night after suffering a “minor swimming incident” in Spain, his rep told TMZ Saturday.

The “High School Musical” star, 36, was reportedly found inside the pool of a villa in Ibiza by two workers who then pulled him out of the water.

It is unclear whether Efron suffered a medical emergency or was at risk of drowning.

The exact details surrounding the ordeal have not yet been released.

However, Efron’s rep told TMZ their client was just taken to the hospital as a “precautionary measure.”

Page Six has reached out to the actor’s publicists for comment but did not immediately hear back.

Efron was reportedly released from the hospital Saturday morning and is doing “fine” now.

The “Greatest Showman” star has not posted about the incident on social media yet.

It appears that Efron went to Spain as he was already in Europe for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

The “Iron Claw” star was spotted attending the Games’ opening ceremony on July 26.

He shared a snap of himself posing in front of the Seine river at the time.

Efron also has a friendship with Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles.

After Team USA’s gold medal win in the gymnastics team final earlier this week, the “Family Affair” star gave the athlete a sweet shoutout via social media.
